FundamentalVR is a London-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that offers a unique and immersive way for medical professionals to access training. The platform combines virtual reality (VR) with haptic feedback to provide a realistic and interactive experience for medical professionals to learn and practice procedures such as orthopedic joint/spine procedures, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, facetectomies, and more.
The training program has been accredited by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Royal College of Surgeons England. In 2022, FundamentalVR raised $20 million in funding to help surgeons learn through VR. FundamentalVR’s VR platform is composed of several components, including HapticVR, @HomeVR, Teaching Space, Data Insights, and MultiuserVR.
