LeoStella

LeoStella is a satellite manufacturing business specializing in small spacecraft platforms and production systems for low Earth orbit constellations. Originally established as a joint venture between BlackSky and Thales Alenia Space, the company developed satellite buses and manufacturing processes for commercial and government space missions. Its spacecraft platforms include the LS-100 and LS-300, designed for Earth observation payloads and other satellite applications. BlackSky acquired full ownership in 2024, integrating LeoStella’s manufacturing capabilities more closely with its satellite constellation development and production operations. BlackSky acquired full ownership of LeoStella in November 2024.
