Title: UKG WFM Consultant Advisor
Location: Remote
Long part-time contract / around 20 hr per week
I will work directly with the candidate, no vendors, no C2C.
What we do not need (from the manager): “we do not need an analyst or an associate, we need someone that will ask the right questions, and expert, an advisor on WFM, someone that know more than we do. This is not someone that will be doing an implementation”
Candidate Overview
- I am looking for someone who is an expert in WFM and has worked on many large-scale implementations and post-implementation process improvements.
- They need to have the knowledge to ask the right questions of the business and work with the vendor (UKG) to keep them honest too.
- They just rolled out UKG WFM over the last year and have not rolled it out to the entire company yet. So, they need someone to deep dive into the other timekeeping and payroll systems, document those processes and data extractions to set up a plan to convert to UKG in the future.
- Must be very strong in Process Mapping and Workflow documentation – Visio or other software.
- Be great at analyzing business processes for timekeeping and payroll, process improvement, working across the entire enterprise (business units, HR, IT, and the executive team).
Requested Outcome
- We are seeking an experienced advisor who can bridge the gap between timekeeping operations, workforce management, system integrations, and payroll processing to deliver a comprehensive assessment of our current environment and a practical roadmap for future-state optimization.
- This engagement should provide both tactical improvements and strategic direction for our long-term workforce management and payroll technology strategy.
Project Overview
We are seeking consulting support to perform a comprehensive assessment of our current end-to-end timekeeping ecosystem, with a focus on understanding, documenting, evaluating, and optimizing the flow of time and labor data from employee entry through payroll processing.
Project Objectives
The primary objectives of this engagement are to:
- Document the current-state timekeeping landscape across all systems and stakeholders.
- Understand the complete flow of time data from employee entry through payroll processing.
- Identify process, control, integration, and compliance risks.
- Evaluate whether our current architecture is optimal or whether greater utilization of WFM functionality could reduce risk and improve efficiency.
- Assess whether direct time entry into WFM should be considered as a future-state strategy were not currently active.
- Provide actionable recommendations for process improvements, system enhancements, and potential technology investments.
Success Criteria
The engagement will be considered successful if it provides:
- Complete visibility into the end-to-end timekeeping process.
- Clear documentation of all systems, integrations, and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Identification of operational and payroll-related risks.
- A detailed understanding of WFM processing and calculation functionality.
- Practical recommendations for improving controls, reducing risk, and increasing efficiency.
- Strategic guidance on whether greater WFM utilization or direct employee time entry into WFM would improve the organization’s future-state workforce management model.
