Canadian robotics innovator Cobionix has captured attention with a recent $3 million funding round led by TitletownTech, a venture capital firm backed by Microsoft and the Green Bay Packers. This strategic investment is set to accelerate the development and deployment of CODI, Cobionix’s multi-functional autonomous medical robotics platform.
CODI leverages automation and artificial intelligence to perform a variety of patient-facing clinical procedures, such as diagnostic ultrasound exams.
The platform is configurable through interchangeable tools and remote software updates, allowing rapid adaptation for different medical tasks.
Designed to address labor shortages and growing patient demand, CODI aims to deliver robotic assistance at the bedside—especially in rural or underserved regions.
The new funding will help scale Cobionix’s pilot programs in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Collaborations with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the UK National Health Service (NHS) are already underway, with plans to transition CODI from research to clinical practice and target a US market entry in the near future.
Remote medical care: CODI enables ultrasound technicians to assist patients remotely, making high-quality diagnostics accessible regardless of location.
Healthcare system support: By automating routine procedures, CODI helps alleviate pressure on healthcare professionals and improves patient throughput.
Scalable innovation: The platform’s adaptability means it can be quickly deployed across different clinical environments, supporting a wide range of medical applications.
TitletownTech led the investment, with participation from Lions Investment and medical robotics expert Dr. Paul McBeth.
The funding marks a milestone for Cobionix as it moves from pilot programs to commercial rollout, aiming to revolutionize healthcare delivery through advanced robotics.
Cobionix is at the forefront of autonomous medical robotics, with a focus on AI-driven, adaptable platforms.
The recent $3 million investment will drive the commercialization of CODI and support pilot programs in North America and the UK.
Remote diagnostics, automation, and scalable healthcare solutions are central to Cobionix’s mission to transform patient care.
