Replika

Replika is a generative AI chatbot app that was released in November 2017. The chatbot is trained by having the user answer a series of questions to create a specific neural network. Replika was founded by Eugenia Kuyda with the idea to create a personal AI that would help users express and witness themselves by offering a helpful conversation.

It’s a space where users can safely share their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, experiences, memories, and dreams. The company is based in San Francisco, California, and is backed by nine investors including Khosla Ventures, Y Combinator, and ACME Capital.
