Stellar is a decentralized, open-source blockchain network that allows users to send payments across borders without third parties. Stellar’s network is designed to be faster, cheaper, and more energy-efficient than most blockchain-based systems. The Stellar network operates by utilizing the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP), which employs a proof-of-agreement (PoA) consensus mechanism for its functioning. Also has its native token called the lumen (XLM).
