About

Skydio, a trailblazing company at the forefront of autonomous drone technology, has been making waves in the industry with its groundbreaking innovations. Founded in 2014 by a team of MIT graduates, Skydio has quickly risen to prominence and established itself as a pioneer in the realm of autonomous flight.

By combining cutting-edge AI capabilities with state-of-the-art hardware, the company has revolutionized the way drones operate and opened up a world of possibilities for industries ranging from cinematography to public safety.

At the heart of Skydio's success lies its groundbreaking Autonomy Engine, an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) system that powers their drones. Unlike traditional drones that require manual piloting, Skydio's autonomous drones navigate and avoid obstacles on their own, enabling users to capture breathtaking footage effortlessly.

By leveraging complex computer vision algorithms and sensor fusion technology, these drones can precisely map their surroundings in real-time, ensuring safe and smooth flights even in challenging environments.

Skydio's product lineup comprises a range of innovative drone models, each packed with industry-leading features and cutting-edge technology. The Skydio 2, their flagship drone, boasts an impressive 4K60 HDR camera, allowing content creators and videographers to capture stunning aerial footage with unmatched clarity and detail.

Its six 4K navigation cameras work seamlessly with the Autonomy Engine to avoid obstacles, ensuring unparalleled flight safety.

For professional applications, Skydio X2 provides an even higher level of performance and resilience. With a rugged design, extended flight time, and a dual-sensor payload system featuring a 12MP color and a 320x256 FLIR thermal camera, the X2 is a powerful tool for applications such as public safety, infrastructure inspection, and search and rescue missions.

Skydio's drones have garnered significant attention across various industries. In cinematography, the ability to capture dynamic and cinematic shots with ease has revolutionized the way filmmakers’ approach aerial photography. From tracking fast-moving subjects to executing complex flight paths, Skydio's autonomous drones empower filmmakers to unleash their creativity like never before.

Public safety agencies and first responders have also benefited from Skydio's advanced technology. The drones' ability to autonomously navigate challenging environments and rapidly generate accurate maps aids in search and rescue operations, disaster response, and critical infrastructure inspections.

As the autonomous drone industry continues to evolve, Skydio remains at the forefront, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible. With a strong focus on research and development, the company is continuously enhancing its autonomous flight capabilities, expanding its product portfolio, and exploring new applications for its technology.

Skydio has garnered significant recognition for its groundbreaking achievements. From securing substantial funding from investors to winning prestigious awards, such as the Best Drone of CES 2021, the company's commitment to innovation has been widely acknowledged.
