About

D-Orbit, a pioneering space logistics company, has been making waves in the aerospace industry with its groundbreaking solutions for satellite deployment and space debris mitigation.

Founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Luca Rossettini and Renato Panesi, D-Orbit has rapidly established itself as a leader in the field, leveraging innovative technology and a deep understanding of space dynamics.

Satellite deployment has long been a complex and challenging aspect of space exploration. D-Orbit, however, has emerged as a key player in simplifying this process.
The company's innovative product, the ION Satellite Carrier, offers a comprehensive solution for launching multiple satellites into precise orbital slots.

With the ION Satellite Carrier, D-Orbit has transformed satellite deployment from a resource-intensive and time-consuming endeavor into a streamlined operation.
The ION Satellite Carrier incorporates advanced technologies, including precise positioning systems and autonomous orbital transportation capabilities.

By optimizing the satellite deployment process, D-Orbit enables clients to reduce costs and maximize efficiency, opening up new possibilities for satellite operators and space agencies around the world.

As space exploration and satellite deployment increase, so does the concern regarding space debris. D-Orbit is at the forefront of addressing this critical issue by developing groundbreaking solutions for space debris mitigation.

The company's flagship product, the DeorbitSail, offers an innovative and reliable approach to safely remove satellites and space debris from orbit.
The DeorbitSail utilizes a deployable sail system to increase atmospheric drag, thus facilitating the deorbiting process. This groundbreaking technology helps reduce the amount of space debris and minimize the risk of collisions in Earth's orbit.

D-Orbit's commitment to sustainability and responsible space practices positions it as a key contributor to maintaining a sustainable space environment for future generations.

D-Orbit has forged strategic partnerships with prominent players in the aerospace industry, solidifying its position as a leading provider of space logistics solutions. In 2022, the company collaborated with Rocket Lab, a renowned small satellite launch provider, to conduct the "Running Out of Space" mission. This successful mission demonstrated D-Orbit's ability to deploy multiple payloads in a single launch, further showcasing the potential of their technology.

Additionally, D-Orbit has gained recognition for its innovative contributions. In 2023, the company received the prestigious Arthur C. Clarke Innovator of the Year Award, a testament to its relentless pursuit of excellence and its significant impact on the field of space logistics.
