xAI

xAI is a new artificial intelligence company launched by Elon Musk. The company was incorporated in Nevada in March 2023 and aims to “understand the true nature of the universe.” The team at xAI, led by Musk, includes former employees of prominent AI companies such as OpenAI, DeepMind, and Microsoft. The company has reportedly purchased roughly 10,000 graphics processing units, which are required to develop and run state-of-the-art AI systems. xAI is expected to work closely with Twitter, now called X Corp., Tesla, and other companies to make progress toward its mission.
