Maxi Mobility secures €1.2 million to grow their European electric taxi fleet.
Subscription model includes EVs, charging, and digital tools for taxis.
The network is expanding in Milan and Rome, supported by leading investors.
Practical, sustainable mobility—designed for the daily needs of taxi drivers.
In a significant leap for green transportation, Milan-based startup Maxi Mobility has successfully closed a €1.2 million funding round. This substantial boost—supported by UniCredit Bank, Motor Valley Accelerator (part of CDP Venture Capital’s National Accelerator Network), Plug and Play Tech Center, Fondazione di Modena, angel investors, and the company’s own founders—aims to fast-track the expansion of its full-electric taxi fleet and state-of-the-art charge-as-a-service solutions across major European markets.
Maxi Mobility, founded in 2021 by Gian Paolo Incutti, Carlo Iacovini, and Barbara Covili, stands out for its innovative, all-in-one electric mobility service tailored for professional drivers, taxi fleets, and urban businesses. Through a practical monthly subscription, customers can access:
Fully electric vehicles (from in-demand models like the Tesla Model Y and BYD).
Integrated charging infrastructure, including access to robust charging hubs.
A smart digital platform with real-time tracking, efficient routing, and seamless payment integration.
This approach minimizes the headaches traditionally associated with fleet electrification—eliminating hefty initial investments, complex maintenance, fragmented charging networks, and day-to-day operational friction. Unlimited charging, 24/7 support, and a streamlined onboarding process mean taxi drivers and corporate fleet managers can switch to electric with minimal disruption and maximum benefit.
The timing could not be better. Milan and Rome alone boast over 13,000 active taxi licenses, with more to come thanks to regulatory shifts (such as the 2023 Asset Decree), which incentivizes the adoption of eco-friendly, zero-emission vehicles. Maxi Mobility’s latest funding will turbocharge the enhancement of its technology platform and expand its charging network, with a clear target: making electric mobility as accessible and convenient as possible for those who keep cities moving.
“Our mission is to make electric mobility genuinely accessible—designed around the daily needs of its users,” remarks CEO and founder Gian Paolo Incutti. “With strategic partners backing us, we’re ready to bring this vision to the industrial level.” Maxi Mobility isn’t just chasing a trend; they’re leading a practical revolution in how cities tackle both urban transport emissions and user convenience
By enabling taxi drivers and fleet managers to avoid upfront costs, wrestle less with charging logistics, and focus on what matters—serving their clients—Maxi Mobility threads innovation with real-world practicality. Their combination of reliable EVs, integrated digital experiences, and a scalable funding model is fast establishing a blueprint for cities eager to cut emissions and improve urban transit.
